As a famous chain restaurant in Beijing, Huajiayiyuan Restaurant is good at the improvement Beijing food. The roast duck here is as famous as Quanjude in the heart of local Beijing.
With a high Chinese feature decorated archway over the door, Huajiayiyuan Restaurant sits in a traditional quadrangle. It is a nice courtyard restaurant, there guests can sit in the little square meanwhile drink a cup of fragrant tea in the daytime. If you come to this restaurant at night, things are different, red lanterns overhang the courtyard offering a sparkling view when the lanterns dance and sway.
Huajiayiyuan Restaurant is skilled in Huajia fish head, Huajia roast duck and Huajia chops and it has attracts its own beers.
No.16 Courtyard Restaurant
Situated near to Shichahai, No.16 Courtyard Restaurant is hidden in the Hutong area where most people tour on bike coaches. If you want to eat in No.16 Courtyard Restaurant, you must reservation first for that it is a tiny restaurant with only a couple tables. In this restaurant, tables here usually have a minimum food charge and the large table has a huge 3000 RMB minimum. The food can be expensive but this was a nice lesson on what Chinese Imperial cuisine is.
This open-air courtyard restaurant not only provides the best Imperial Chinese Cuisine but also offer good service. After you finish a tour of the nearby lakes and Hutong, it is the best place for having a rest.
Dali Courtyard Restaurant
Seats in Xijiaochang Hutong, Dali Courtyard Restaurant is covered with plants and beautiful restored though it does not look majestic, even a bit old. Famous as one of more romantic place to eat in Beijing, this courtyard restaurant specialize in the subtle flavor of the cuisine of southwestern Yunnan province. 
There, you could not choose which dish you like for that there is no menu at Dali Courtyard Restaurant. Each dinner pay a fixed price of about US$15 for a meal of whatever was freshest when the chef went to the market.
